HOPE CANBERRA 7TH ANNIVERSARY

Sunday 27th February 2011, Hope Canberra celebrated its 7th birthday party at the Griffin Centre in the heart of Canberra city. The day was lots of fun with heaps of yummy food and great fellowship. We had plenty of visitors and Hope Queanbeyan came to join us for lunch after they had finished their service.

Tony preached on Hebrews 12:2-3 on the topic of “Perseverance” and looked at the fruit of perseverance in Hope Canberra as we have pressed on in the past 7 years. There have been times when the challenges and trials have been difficult to face but as they say ‘no pain, no gain’ and we are so glad that we can testify to God’s amazing goodness and faithfulness as we look at Him rather than the obstacles at hand.

It was great to celebrate what God has done in the church during this time. A strong foundation has been built into the church and the Queanbeyan Centre has been planted out of Hope Canberra. Many lives have been blessed and transformed. We have a great team and it is wonderful to serve Jesus with them.

As a church we would greatly like to thank Lance and Belle as well as everyone else who has been of such great support and encouragement to Hope Canberra over the years.
